2 Day Trip in Tampa Bay
It didn’t take long for Dustin Robison from Ohio to figure out why Tampa Bay is considered one of the best fishing locales in the country. During our 2 day trip, Dustin, landed over 7 different species of fish. Sheephead, Trout, Lizzardfish, ladyfish, Whiting, Snook, Redfish and even a cool little Pufferfish kept Dustins’ rod bent.
Sarasota Bay Red Fishing
With this winter being so mild, the weather was steller for a December day. Tampa fishing charters are always fun this time of year when the weather is this nice. The temperatures were in the 70-80's all day long and the water temperatures weren't too bad either. Other than having to do quite a bit of paddling into the wind today, the conditions for doing some flats fishing in Sarasota Bay were ideal.
Winter Ft Desoto Kayak Fishing Fun
What another great day of fishing in Tampa Bay. It doesn’t get much better than running Tampa fishing charters for a living. Today was another typical fishing trip around Ft De Soto Park. This is where you can do some of the best fishing in Tampa Bay and is a huge hub for Tampa fishing charters.
Tampa Winter Fishing Conditions
Seasons are starting to change here in Tampa bay and so are the fishing conditions for tampa fishing charters! The water temperatures are starting to drop which is starting to pick up the bite a bit especially inshore. With winter rolling in, a lot of the native species will be trying to get nice and fat for the fall haul.
Capt Jesse Mayer - Sky Way Bridge
Sunday's trip really was one of those classic Florida spring days where the weather is perfect and the fishing conditions ideal. Really nice white bait are pretty thick along Blinds Pass bridge. After only a couple tosses of the cast net I had all the bait I needed for the entire day. With the live well stocked we headed to sky way area.
Nature Coast Fishing Report
Fall fishing on our local flats and back country creeks and bays is FANTASTIC! We are in a transitional period right now as winter is approaching and water temperature starts to drop, making the inshore game fish move into the creeks and near by springs that litter the Nature Coast. As we move into winter start to look around the springs, creeks, coves, and oyster bars. An easy way to find Redfish is to find the Mullet, once you find Mullet anchor the boat and work the area well with top water plugs, gulp shrimp on a 1/8oz jig head or live shrimp on a 1/0 hook with the tail pinched off for scent.
